Glacial Lakes Energy to Expand Corn Drying

Watertown, S.D.,-based ethanol producer Glacial Lakes Energy has plans to expand its corn-drying capabilities, according to KTIV television in Sioux City, Iowa.

Glacial Lakes has received permits from the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources to use its corn dryers more throughout the year.

Glacial Lakes CEO Jim Seurer said the company will be expanding from about 900 hours of drying time to about 8,700 hours. This will allow the plant to take more corn directly from farms.
