No Buyers for Idle Michigan Ethanol Plant

No one stepped forward to buy the Liberty Renewable Fuels ethanol plant site near Ithaca, Mich. last week at a foreclosure sale, the Mount Pleasant, Mich. Morning Sun said.

The $60 million plant site sits on about 300 acres maintained by Kansas-based ethanol plant developer ICM, the company that designed the facility.

The company was hoping to recoup more than $15 million on the project.
