ISU Professor Garners Award from R&D Magazine

Iowa State University professor Hans Van Leeuwen was named R&D Magazine’s 2009 Innovator of the Year for his work in improving water quality and biofuel production, according to the Ames Tribune in Ames, Iowa, and for his process to purify ethanol into food-grade alcohol.

Van Leeuwen received the award at a ceremony Nov. 12 in Orlando, Fla.
