Tests Show Ethanol Plant in Compliance for Emissions

Milton, Wis.-based United Ethanol now is in compliance with all air emission standards, the Janesville Gazette in Janesville, Wis. said, after months of struggles.

In August and September the plant failed emissions tests on a boiler, fermentation scrubber and vent gas scrubber. The fermentation and vent gas scrubbers failed emission testing in February, and the boiler had tested over the limit for particulate matter in earlier testing.
