Graves Cleared in Ethics Investigation on Ethanol Connections

A U.S. House of Representatives committee cleared Missouri Rep. Sam Graves of charges that he acted improperly by inviting congressional testimony from an ethanol industry official that had financial ties to Graves' family, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct released a statement this afternoon saying that it had voted unanimously to exonerate Graves, R-Tarkio.

Financial records show Graves' wife, Lesley, profited from investments in northwest Missouri's Golden Triangle's ethanol plant.
