Not so fast! I bet the EPA and California will figure out a way for this to cause some kind of "indirect trash use" in some far off corner of the world. You know they will never tolerate that. Good Idea - but probably- Dead on Arrival with our current masters.

Saw the pictures of 10 more American Soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan tonight on the news. When will the EPA pull its head out of its “lawnmower” and start counting dead American Soldiers. We can only hope soon.

Saturday Update, 7/11/10, I heard we lost 5 more men today in Afghanistan. EPA probably had the day off from working on E-15. (Wouldn't want to over do it ya know.) I guess we should thank our lucky stars we didn't lose any lawnmowers, weed eaters or motor boats today - that really would be tragic.

Ha, a bit of good news. BP has been successful this weekend removing the damaged top flange on its spewing oil well and has installed a new spool that they can couple up to with a new valved assembly to control the oil. With the new assembly they hope to capture all the oil to the surface and possibly even shut the well in if it’s decided the existing well piping can take the reservoir pressure as the valves are closed. Stopping the oil leaking in the gulf may be just a couple days away! If you live along the Gulf Coast it may be time to celebrate.

I applaud Mr. Steiner for his efforts. I am aware of a similar trash burning to steam project in Suburban Chicago that was killed a few years ago because of the NIMBY (NOT IN MY BACK YARD) effect. I wonder how many other ideas of this type have been killed for purely political reasons? And think of the billions of potential BTU's that are buried after floods, tornados, hurricanes and other natural disasters. It should be a crime to transport trash for miles and miles, then consume valuable farm land to bury said trash for the next generations to deal with.
