Next Monday at 11 a.m. Central Daylight Time, USDA will release corn yield estimates that include objective yield estimates. In a couple of weeks, crop scouts will begin canvassing the Midwest Corn Belt to pull corn yield samples. Prevented planting and delayed planting in some of our most productive corn areas has left a big question mark regarding potential yields for 2013.
