USDA Reports Summary

WASHINGTON (DTN) -- USDA trimmed national corn production slightly to 13.925 billion bushels in its Crop Production Annual Summary report released on Friday. USDA slightly increased harvested acreage to 87.66 million acres, but trimmed the national average yield to 158.8 bushels per acre from its November estimate of 160.4 bpa.

USDA increased its soybean production estimate, boosting production to 3.289 bb from its previous projection of 3.258 bb. To get there, USDA upped harvested acres to 75.87 ma from its previous 75.7 ma estimate and adjusted the national average yield to 43.3 bpa from 43.0 bpa.
