Light snow showers will be possible this afternoon in New England and Long Island. Chances will be highest from eastern Long Island to southern Maine. Any snow will struggle to accumulate due to mild surface temperatures. Scattered light snow showers will also be possible in western New York, but accumulations will be minimal. Snow chances will rise overnight in southern New England as low pressure strengthens off the coast. Snow totals tonight may reach 1-3 inches in eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
