Groups Seek to Sway RFS Plan

OMAHA (DTN) -- As the clock ticks down to EPA's promised announcement on the Renewable Fuels Standard, everyone is offering EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy some last-minute counseling on just where her agency should come down when deciding appropriate blend volumes for 2014 through 2016.

The biofuels industry on Thursday sought to clarify in a letter to McCarthy and respond to comments made late last week by two of the major oil lobbies.

It's high stakes for both industries because billions of gallons of renewable-fuel and petroleum sales are at stake with EPA's pending proposals.
