PERGAMINO, Argentina (DTN) -- Jorge Bianciotto looks over his soybeans with satisfaction on this fresh January afternoon at the heart of Argentina's grain belt.

"The early soybeans are exuberant. We have almost perfect weather conditions for the early soybeans and a bumper crop is in prospect," said the manager on the La Lucila farm in Pergamino, Buenos Aires province.

The outlook is similar across nearly the whole nucleus, a 25-million-acre square at the center of Argentina's grain belt that contains some of the world's best row-crop land.
