BEIJING (DTN) -- China's government is discussing its fertilizer export tax policy. The new lower export tax may lead to more fertilizer exports this year.

"It is possible that China will stop applying the high export tax in peak season and make the year-round export tax the same," said Rongjian Sun, a fertilizer distributor in Beijing. He said that means producers will have incentive to export more fertilizer in 2015, especially in the peak season.
