Cash ethanol prices were higher, especially along the West Coast, although there was a lack of liquidity because traders were out early for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. A trade source said Arizona ethanol cash prices were pushed higher by a short-squeeze, with pre-weekend short-covering reported for most of the other regional hubs like Chicago and New York after federal data released Wednesday showed a weekly stock draw while demand edged higher.
