Milk production keeps rolling along, but not quite as much as I had anticipated. November milk production in the top 23 states showed an increase of 3.5% compared to last year. Production per cow was 41 pound higher than a year ago with cow numbers up 3,000 head from October. U.S. milk production increased 3.4% with production per cow up 42 pounds, reaching 1,782 pounds for the month. Cow numbers increased 4,000 head from October and were up 82,000 head from a year ago.
