Milk production was mixed across the country. Where heavy snow fell in the Northeast, milk shipments were interrupted and delayed. Other areas indicate increased milk production as weather was colder, but cow comfort was good. Manufacturers are expecting heavier volumes of milk later next week as schools are closed and milk is diverted to other areas. Milk production remains above last year as cows have been added to the nation's dairy herd. European and Oceania milk production is higher than last year as well.
