Many manufacturers are catching up from the high level of milk intake last week. Some even had to find extra silo storage temporarily in order to handle the volume of milk. Once caught up, they should be able to keep up. Milk volumes are anticipated to remain high for a few more weeks before peak milk production will be reached in many areas of the country. Fluid milk demand is slowing as more schools close for the summer. Some areas have already passed the peak and are slowly declining, but most are still climbing, albeit more slowly.
