GENERAL COMMENTS

Mixed trade is expected through most livestock markets early Monday as traders in the cattle complex start to work through the cattle on feed report released Friday. This may not have significant long-term implications for cattle trade, but it will likely bring some volatility into the market early in the week. Lean hog futures are expected mixed with traders once again reacting to wide price swings in front-month futures last week. Corn futures are trading lower in light trade. Stock markets are lower with Dow Jones trading 27 points lower with Nasdaq down 25 points.
