OMAHA (DTN) -- Active buyer interest continues to develop across livestock futures. Nearby feeder cattle futures are holding triple-digit gains as traders are taking a longer-term look at the market. Continued softness in corn prices is helping to bring underlying support to both cattle and hog markets as concerns about high feed costs are less of an issue than over the past few years. It is still uncertain just how deep the current buyer support in nearby contracts is, and if this price surge will be able to hold through closing bell.
