Early trade direction in the livestock market is expected to remain mixed as traders try to both balance positions following the aggressive gains in cattle futures Friday, as well as look ahead to holiday activity levels. Trade volume is expected to remain subdued through most of the week, which could leave price moves based more on activity level than any fundamental or technical direction. Corn futures are trading higher in light trade in early trade. Stock markets are higher in light trade. Dow Jones is 67 points higher, while Nasdaq is up 6 points.
