Outside Markets:

Global stocks were sold on Monday, with the TSX ending 229 points lower at 12,535. Most Asian markets are closed due to the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, although Japan's Nikkei closed 5.4% lower. European markets are also trading lower, while pre-market trade in the Dow is down 62 points, suggesting more pain to come in Tuesday's markets. The Canadian dollar is 25 basis points higher at $.7201 CAD/USD, while the U.S. dollar index is .117 lower at 96.435. Gold is $8.20 lower at $1,189.70/ounce.
