When the history of the markets is written, few will remember this past week. It won't be remembered like the one following Black Monday 1987, or the events immediately after Chernobyl in April 1986, or even the holiday week spanning the fun that surrounded the initial report of BSE in the United States in December 2003. But despite its lack of distinction, this week may have been the small pebble that creates a tsunami sometime in the distant future. Like a scorecard for a baseball game, let's go back and replay the week's events.
