Morning CME Globex Update:March corn was down 4 1/2 cents, March soybeans were down 7 cents, and March Chicago wheat was down 17 1/2 cents. At 8 a.m., USDA announced that 135,664 metric tons (5.3 mb) of U.S. corn were sold to Japan and 101,604 tons (4.0 mb) were sold to Mexico, both for 2014-15. Before the announcement, this week's heated rally in wheat prices took a sudden turn lower early Friday as the market reassesses the impact of Russia's financial crisis on grain prices. Corn and soybeans were also lower overnight.
