Ethanol futures posted additional strong losses Friday as nearby contracts led the market lower despite a rebound in corn prices through the session. February ethanol futures posted a 3.1-cent-per-gallon loss, closing at $1.774 a gallon. The lack of support through the market was also seen in March futures, which led the market lower with a 4.3-cent-per-gallon loss. Traders are focusing on the recent inventory building activity seen in the market as well production growth through the early part of the year.
