Ethanol futures faded Tuesday as traders were unwilling to chase prices higher even after corn prices continue to show some light support. Corn prices were elevated through the entire session, but late-day pressure cut early gains in half at closing bell. May corn futures increased 3 cents per bushel, but this was not enough support to hold ethanol futures higher. April ethanol futures posted a 1-cent-per-gallon loss, closing at $2.534 a gallon. Traders are looking for additional support from the RBOB gasoline market, but right now no additional support can be found.
