Question: I read in one of your recent columns about some cows that died from lead poisoning. We lost a calf that was very nervous, aggressive and acted blind. We could not find any source of lead. This calf was about 8 months old. All of our calves have been vaccinated and wormed at weaning, and we are feeding hay and some corn gluten along with winter grazing. We have hi-mag salt out. What do you think could have killed this calf?
