PERTH, Australia (Dow Jones) -- Late rain has boosted prospects for Western Australia's 2013-14 grain harvest with CBH Group predicting above-average deliveries, a cooperative executive said on Thursday.

CBH expects between 11.5 million and 12.6 million metric tons of grain delivered from growers versus a long-term average of 10.6 million tons, CBH Group operations manager for storage, handling and marketing David Capper said.

A previous forecast from early last month assumed below-average deliveries of 9 mmt to 10 mmt after a dry spell in June and the first half of July.
