SENATE FARM BILL WILL CARRY INTO JUNE

To her credit, Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., has maintained momentum this week as she shepherded the 2013 farm bill through daily floor debates. However, with nearly 200 amendments having been filed, and dozens still to be considered, the Senate broke late Thursday for its week-long Memorial Day recess.
