APPROPRIATORS CONTINUE TO NAG NEGOTIATORS FOR A BUDGET DEAL

Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., is continuing to press budget negotiators to give her a hard and fast discretionary spending total that would permit her and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., to develop an appropriations omnibus bill covering virtually all FY2014 spending and that can get through both the House and Senate by Jan. 15.
