LOW ODDS OF RENEWABLE FUELS STANDARD REFORM BEING INCLUDED IN DEBT CEILING PROPOSAL

The Oil Price Information Service reported this week that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., is considering attaching a bill to reform the renewable fuels standard to a Republican proposal to raise the federal debt ceiling. Some members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee have been meeting during the August recess and could present an RFS reform measure to the full committee when Congress returns Sept. 9.
