Spot ethanol prices were higher early Thursday in Chicago, New York and California, rebounding after steep losses a day ago in reaction to data showing higher ethanol stocks than previously anticipated. The sources also said a lack of railcars was delaying product shipment from the Midwest to the West Coast.
