The ethanol industry could be in for some challenges during the coming year; however, demand for ethanol co-products such as dried distillers grains will likely continue, according to a speaker at the recent 2012 Export Exchange sponsored by the Renewable Fuels Association and U.S. Grains Council.

Carl Casale, president and chief executive officer of CHS Inc., said that uncertainties the industry will face in the coming year are drought, the 2012 election, the European debt crisis and unrest in the Middle East, according to an article by Ethanol Producer (…).
