Prices for spot loads of milk retreated this week as cheese manufacturers are reducing production levels to keep in line with demand. I know this may sound like a broken record, but this is what is taking place. High prices make manufacturers unwilling to hold onto extra supply. They do want to be caught holding much product if cheese prices decline. There has been some disruption of school milk supply due to frequent closures that past week due to adverse weather.
