Milk production has been seasonal with supply slowly increasing, but yet not enough to satisfy the needs of everyone. Farmers are trying to do their best to improve output per cow, but it has been challenging. Milk production potential is there, but it will take time and another lactation for it to be fully realized. There is plenty of capacity at dairy plants to handle any of the milk that will be available over the holidays. Bottling has slowed due to schools being closed through the end of the year.
