More seasonal weather should allow for milk production to improve over time. Supply is still considered tight with manufacturers desiring to have more milk to keep production steady. Excess premium for extra milk keeps buying interest limited. Traders are not very excited about milk prices next year and the reason 2014 contracts continue to trade at a discount to current underlying cash prices. There is significant potential for milk production to increase over the next few months as seen on the August milk production report.
