One benefit of reduced milk production is the opportunity for plants to take care of much-needed maintenance. Maintenance does need to be done periodically, but lower milk supply may not necessitate diverting milk to somewhere else in the mean time. Production is expected to improve over the next few weeks as cow comfort improves and rations become more stable. August milk production blew the socks off the market.
