June through September milk contracts ended their run higher, reversing despite barrels remaining higher and keeping an inverted block/barrel spread. The fact that early cheese price gains did not hold sent a ripple of selling through the pit primarily in the closer months. There is no indication milk prices will fall apart again unless cash price trend lower. Milk prices have not been expected to move very much for a period of time due to strong production and adequate supply.
