Spring flush did not seem to unfold as usual with reformulated rations keeping production at a slower growth than usual. Feed supply is expensive with supply tight. However, despite these difficulties, milk production remained strong. Milk production in April was up 0.3% in the top 23 states and up 0.2% for the U.S. After two months of lower production compared to the previous year, the trend is back above last year.
