Fluid milk sales have slowed in the Central region of the country. Plentiful milk supply keeps bottling demand satisfied. Extra milk is being priced at class and higher. Premiums are being recorded of as much as $1.50. Handlers are not willing to offer milk as a discount due to good manufacturing demand. Cheese production is strong with many plants running 6-7 days a week. Strong cheese prices and good demand increases the desire to increase production.
