Milk receipts continue to improve in many areas. There is sufficient plant capacity to handle the volume. Demand is termed as flat for both fluid milk accounts as well as manufacturing accounts. Milk futures contracts in closer months are in line with the underlying cash keeping volatility confined to the volatility of the underlying cash prices. New Zealand milk production is being impacted by hot and dry weather which has taken the edge off milk production.
