GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light trade is expected to develop through livestock futures with light to moderate moves in live cattle being limited by mixed activity in lean hog and feeder cattle futures. Traders are focusing on the potential of cash market activity, which appears to remain weak in hog markets while cattle movement is showing increased stability. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 181 points higher while Nasdaq is up 57 points.
