GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are expected to open mostly higher Monday. Firm movements in cash cattle values late last week and a bullish cattle on feed report should draw buyers back to the market. Trade volume in lean hog futures is expected light, but cattle market firmness could have spillover support. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading lower. The Dow Jones Index is 10 points lower while Nasdaq is down 2 points.
