GENERAL COMMENTS:

Although the majority of cash cattle trade still has to take place, the aggressive price support on the light trade seen Thursday has sparked increased interest. Cattle futures are gaining support early Friday based on potential additional support in the cash cattle and boxed beef markets. Traders are looking for additional direction in the lean hog futures markets, which may limit early widespread price shifts. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading lower.
