The cash cattle trade was very quiet Thursday following the dramatic midweek rally. WTD trade volume looks decent in the North, but somewhat light in the North. Unsold steers and heifers still on showlists are priced around $150 in the South and $242-plus in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $2.38 higher ($69.00 to $82.50, weighted average $81.62).
