GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light trading surfaced in parts of cattle feeding country. Some live business was reported in Kansas and Texas at $131, $1 lower than last week. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $1.13 lower ($70 to $84, weighted average $81.99). The corn market ended fractionally mixed with both sides demonstrating caution before the release of major reports on Friday. The stock market fell sharply as investors reacted to an unexpected rate cut by the European Central Bank and a cautious read on third-quarter U.S. economic growth. ...
