GENERAL COMMENTS:

Note impact of government shutdown: USDA's Market News has been indefinitely closed due to a lack of government funding. Hence, most of the price data usually posted on this page is not available (NA). Cash cattle trade remains untested. The closing Iowa hog base is not available. The thin test reported by private terminals was generally steady to $1 lower with Tuesday (i.e., mostly $60 to $61 on a live basis). Corn futures finished modestly higher, up 1 3/4 in December and March and up 2 cents in the May.
