DTN Closing Livestock Comments

According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed 0.21 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($94.00-102.75, weighted average $99.29). The corn market closed significantly higher in the July, up 17 1/4 cents, but rose only modestly in the new-crop contracts, up 1 1/2 to 1 3/4.
