GENERAL COMMENTS:

This may go down as the week the country forgot to trade cattle. A few deals have been turned in at $122 in parts of Texas and $197 in parts of the North. Yet a decent test has not yet developed near 4:00 CDT. We assume more business will be posted by the time the sun sets. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed 0.31 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($91.22-$99.00, weighted average $96.16).
