GENERAL COMMENTS:

The feedlot market was limited to scattered sales of steers and heifers near steady with Tuesday's decline (i.e., $124 in parts of Texas, $124.50-$125 in parts of Nebraska). According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $1.34 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($62.50-$74.00, weighted average $72.07). Corn futures ended 4-5 cents higher, supported by better buying interest in what and beans.
