GENERAL COMMENTS:

According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed 0.02 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($65.00-$78.75, weighted average $76.04 Corn futures closed higher, up 6 to 11 1/2.

LIVE CATTLE:

Futures closed mostly higher, up 17 5o 87. Strength in the morning beef cutout report and in outside markets helped draw buyers back into the live cattle futures market Tuesday afternoon. With nearby futures bouncing higher and lower through much of the day, the outside market support seemed to be enough to entice buyers hovering on the sidelines to jump into the market. ...
