Export Rankings Poised for Shakeup

OMAHA (DTN) -- The ranks of top U.S. corn buyers could be shaken up this year, with Mexico and Japan jostling for the top spot. China, Colombia and South Korea are in the hunt for third, which has been held by China for the past two years.

Mexico has outpaced Japan as the largest buyer of U.S. corn so far this marketing year, according to USDA export sales data. Japan's been the top U.S. corn export market and Mexico the second for the last five years.
