MARKET CLOSE

HRS closed 5 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents higher, corn ended 3 3/4 to 4 1/4 cents higher, soybeans closed 5 1/4 to 9 cents higher while canola ended $4.80 to $4.90/mt higher.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In midday trade, the TSX is 58 points lower at $14,401. Statistics Canada reported Thursday morning that exports grew 3.6% in February, largely due to the impact of the lower Canadian dollar and the strengthening U.S. economy.
