CLOSING SUMMARY

Corn closed 3 1/2 to 5 cents higher, soybeans ended 6 3/4 to 22 3/4 cents higher, red spring wheat closed 8 1/2 to 12 3/4 cents higher and canola ended $8.90 to $9.70/mt higher.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In mid-day trade, Canada's TSX equity trade is 17 points higher at 14,072, with the S&P 500 up marginally. The Canadian dollar is 26 basis points higher at $0.9126 CAD/USD, while the U.S. dollar index is 0.134 lower at 80.035. Gold is $5.40 higher at $1,324/ounce.
