FUTURES SUMMARY

Soybeans fell 30 to 33 cents/bu, canola ended $8.30 to $9.10/mt lower, corn closed 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 cents lower, while red spring wheat closed 1 3/4 to 3 1/2 cents lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

The TSX equity index was trading 42 points higher at midday, with U.S. markets also higher. The Canadian dollar was 31 basis points higher at $.9562 CAD/USD, while the U.S. dollar index was 0.181 lower at 80.905. Gold was 60 cents higher at $1,286.90/ounce. Crude oil was unchanged at $93.76/barrel, while Brent crude was 19 cents lower at $108.09/barrel.
